Blog Wars 4 Photos

Here are just a view images from Blog Wars 4. I really need to start taking more photos of me playing though, lol.

Tournies

So I have been to a couple of tournaments recently and lots has been happening. So not been blogging much as life, painting and tournies have all got in the way. But the main two tournaments I have been to recently were the Heat 3 of the GT in England and Blog Wars 4.

Now some of you may know that I have been experimenting with drop pods since 6th ed has come on to the the scene with varied success. And as some tournaments are allowing Forge World models in I have been taking advantage of these rules as well.

So my first tournament I want to tell you about was Heat 3 of the England GT's. There were allowing forge world models to be present here so I was taking advantage of Lucius Pattern Drop Pods. Here was my list.

Now I can say this list works very well if used properly, with pods if you use it right it can be a real winner but one mistake and that can be the game all over. However it is really fun to play with and isn't that the name of the game! I had good results with this list and would have qualified for the finals if it had not been for a silly mistake written on my submitted entry list. I was penalised and lost points dropping me down the field. However if that was not the case I was happy in the knowledge that I easily qualified for the finals with a comfortable 3 wins. I had 3 losses at the GT as well but I feel that they were my fault and not the lists and more practise has taught me how to win those battles!

As for Blog Wars the lists had to be different as we were not allowed forge world and we had to include a special character. So what character could be better than ol Nigel. lol Here was my list.

This was a one day tournament and this list was a lot of fun, with Nigel running the show with his on board powers it was very different from the usual tournaments. In the end I finished with a loss and two wins so I was a happy chappy finishing in 11th. Again you have to be careful with the pods and how to use them but I feel as though I can only get better with practise and learn better manoeuvres with more and varied opponents.

Well hope you enjoyed and now I shall upload some photots from Blog Wars so you can see some of the fantastic armies I have been facing.
See you all soon.
